Happy birthday to me!

I just turned 23 last Dec. 29. I had a small party with my friends @ home and I ended up drunk! Lol! Anyway, thanks to those who attended my celebration: Karen, Weng, James, Aaron, Adolf, Louise, Sandra, Toping, Calixto, Raul, Krisna, Eric George, Donna, Apple, Nikko, Mei, Martin, and everyone!

How cool can you get? This jeepney driver really made my day! I'm giving him the great hair day award for his cool highlights! Can you carry this? I wanted to ask him what the "F" meant but I didn't have the chance. I wish I talked to him so that I can publish his name here, but anyway, I'm still glad I got to steal a picture of his 'do! Lol!

PRC Nullifies the Nov 17-18 Examination Results

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) nullifies the examination results in the subjects Hydraulics and Geotechnical Engineering and Structural Engineering and Construction in the 17-18 November 2007 Civil Engineer Licensure Examination given by the Board of Civil Engineering after discovering irregularities in the said two (2) subjects. A total of 4,782 examinees took the licensure examination in eight (8) test centers nationwide, namely, in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi and Tacloban. After evaluation of the examination result in the subject of Hydraulics and Geotechnical Engineering, PRC finds the same to be "statistically improbable" considering the unusually high rating obtained by examinees. The PRC referred the matter to the National Bureau of Immigration to conduct an investigation on irregularities, including identification of the people behind this anomaly. The Commission resolved in its official announcement dated 26 November 2007 sent to the University to give another examination in the subjects Hydraulics and Geotechnical Engineering and Structural Engineering and Construction on 12 January 2008 without the need to pay the examination fee. Examinees shall no longer take the subjects Mathematics, Surveying and Transportation Engineering. Examination details on school and room assignment will be posted at the PRC Central and Regional Offices and in its website. Examinees will be required to present their Notice of Admission used in the November 2007 examinations on 12 January 2008 examinations.

Dilemma

The body of the crime: An unopened pack of Marlboro Lights and a pink lighter that I discovered inside my sister's bag. Oh, don't get me wrong... There was no violation of privacy committed.It was really my bag, being used by my sister, and I just unloaded its contents because it's my time to use the bag. That was then that I discovered these two items that I believe to have been used to commit a continuing crime prohibited and punishable under the laws of the Balucanag household: smoking! Our parents are non-smokers. Our house is a smoke-free establishment. Smoking is strictly prohibited within the premises of the house. The people within the household's jurisdiction are prohibited from smoking and violation would mean cancellation of vested benefits, which includes, but not limited to, loss of allowance, suspension from joining all extra curricular activities, and revocation of the license to shop.

As the older sister, I knew I had the responsibility of talking to my younger sister about the current situation. I didn't want to judge her right away but I couldn't deny that I was really angry when I discovered the pack of cigarette and lighter inside the bag. I honestly did not know what to do. I hid the items, without her knowledge, and invited her for an investigation the night she came home.

It wasn't hers.

The culprit is Marvin, the bestfriend. Marvin, you've got an explanation to make. I know right from the start that my sister is innocent! Although she may have been an accessory to Marvin's crime, but I cannot establish jurisdiction over Marvin because he is not a member of our household. Whew! And of course, sister cannot do such a blatant violation of our household laws!
